Autism Awareness Day - April 2

April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day - How can you help?

Autism does not discriminate. It affects people of all nations, but some people with autism suffer terrible discrimination, abuse and isolation. Autism is a complex disorder, though we can see improvements with the right treatments. That is why it is so important to raise awareness to better meet the needs of people with autism. April 2nd is World Autism Day and begins Autism Awareness Month. Please educate yourself and others on the importance of raising awareness, funds and compassion for this spectrum disorder. Both children and parents could use the support.

April 2nd is World Autism Day and begins Autism Awareness Month. Autism Speaks is the nation's largest autism science and advocacy organization. It is their “Light it up Blue” that helps us honor this day worldwide and launch the Autism Awareness Month campaign. With the "Light It Up Blue" campaign, major buildings in the USA and Worldwide use blue lighting in support of World Autism Awareness Day and to raise awareness of Autism. Your community can do the same on April 2nd and throughout the month.

Learn more about AUTISM and what to watch for in children, family and friends. Visit http://www.worldautismawarenessday.org to learn how you can help raise awareness in your community! Although AutismSpeaks.org launches this "day" off, it is a year long / lifetime commitment for those of us with Autism / ASD in our lives.

Make sure to check out Autism Awareness Month to watch Holly Robinson Peete's interview and campaign for autism awareness.

April 2nd is Autism Awareness Day

Here in Philippines, we give special attention to children who is autistic. We develop their skills and trained them to become a good person. though my kids are normal . I feel so blessed for autistic kids who has a special talent. They just need attention from us. I teach my kids not to discriminate a child who is not normal.
